FSG Helps Rebrand AT&T Center in San Antonio

Home to the San Antonio Spurs and the San Antonio Rampage, the ATT Center in San Antonio is a first-class sports venue. Built in 2002, the AT&T Center originally opened as SBC Center, however, in 2006, the arena was renamed AT&T Center. For 10 years, the AT&T Globe and letters displayed above the main entrance to the arena took a beating from the south Texas sun until 2016 when the time came to replace the aging signage with AT&T’s updated logo and lettering.

FSG was brought in by The Marketing Arm, a partner of AT&T, to help AT&T, the Spurs, and The AT&T Center upgrade the aging exterior signage. In addition to the logo and letter updates, the roof of AT&T Center was also updated with a larger than life printed version of the logo and name. FSG handled all of the designs, fabrication, and installation of the signage components and the roof print. FSG worked with a commercial roofing company in San Antonio to lay down the printed roof material.

The project was under extreme scrutiny from AT&T, the Spurs, and the NBA. Every detail had to be perfect and the timing was of utmost importance as the project needed to be completed before the opening of the NBA season.

FSG worked with the Spurs to schedule work and cranes around events so that the sports teams, entertainers, and guests would not be disrupted while the work was ongoing.

In the end, the project completed on-time and everyone was pleased with the work. The Spurs and FSG put this video together about this project. The video played on the scoreboard video screen on the Spurs opening night before and during the game.
