What The Storm Can Never Wash Away

It's been more than a year since Hurricane Harvey made landfall on the Texas Gulf Coast. The storm that dropped more than 40 inches of rain in a three day period, left a permanent and lasting mark, not just on the physical landscape of the Texas coast, but also in the minds and hearts of those that call that coastal region home.

For many, Harvey was a disaster. For the rest of us, Harvey was a reminder of the desperate need we have for a community we can count on.

The days, weeks, and months following the storm, millions of people were mobilized to help rebuild the city and reinforce the relationships within the city's communities. Today, the idea of a large storm like Harvey hitting the region again, while still frightening and unwanted, is an idea that is seen as survivable because our memories of devastating rains and winds have been replaced with memories of the flood of love and support in the aftermath.

This week, as millions on the East Coast face the same struggles that so many on the Southern Coast faced a year ago, our minds and hearts, at least here in Texas, are reminded of how devistating a storm can be, but also of how good people can be after the storm.

For FSG as a company, this means remembering what a storm like this can do to families and businesses and then being prepared to respond to help those people and their businesses get back on their feet. To do this, FSG identifies where the greatest need is and then sends resources to help businesses get back to doing what they do best, serving their customers.

FSG is committed to being a company that provides ability, capability, and flexibility to the businesses and people that are hurting as the storms of life hit.
