Float is a gorgeous rooftop bar and pool deck at the Hard Rock Hotel in the Gaslamp district of San Diego. When the space needed an update, FSG created an exciting and unique atmosphere using a new RGB color LED lighting system to replace the old white lights. The result? A transformation that brought new warmth and radiance to an already beautiful venue.
For a project like this, the goal is to be able to walk into the space and not notice that any lighting exists during the day. At nighttime, the venue transforms and you get all the color changing effects without really knowing where it’s coming from. With color changing RGB technology, venues like Float at the Hard Rock Hotel enjoy a stunning 16.7 million options. This provides the customer a full range of choices for branding, and the ability to implement perfectly matched Pantone colors for special events. For this project, all of the audio, video, and the lighting triggers were integrated onto one single touch screen for easy operation.
At the end of the project, Float was transformed by adding color-changing LED lighting. An update like this keeps your current clientele coming in, and entices new visitors as well.
